About
Tony Makepeace is a Toronto based photographer, writer, and teacher. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions and his works are displayed in a number of private and corporate collections.
He has also contributed portfolios and essays to View Camera, PhotoLife, PhotoEd, LensWork, Outpost, and Utne Reader. He is a volunteer director of the Toronto-based Nepal Community Development Foundation, which funds and manages a series of development projects in a rural village district in eastern Nepal, and of FogQuest, a Canadian organization devoted to providing innovative fresh water solutions to developing communities internationally.
He holds a B.A.A. degree in Photographic Arts from Ryerson University and has recently completed a Master’s degree in Education at Central Michigan University.
