About

Bert Spinks is a poet and storyteller from the island of Tasmania. A dedicated dilettante, Bert brings his wide range of experiences into his written and performed works.

As well as his work writing and performing in Tasmania and Melbourne, Bert has taught his skills in India, performed in poetry slams in Latvia and Poland, and sold hand-made books in the marketplaces of Mexico. He has two books published prior to 2012: a collection of photographs and anecdotes from India called Life Is Immense (2010) and a collection of his performance-based poems titled Let the Continents Unfurl (2011).
