About

After completing a Diploma in Art and Design in Theatre at Wimbledon School of Art in 1969, I went to Leicester Polytechnic to undertake a one year post graduate Art Teachers' Diploma. I graduated with a Distinction in 1972. I taught at Cheam High School in Surrey for six years as an art teacher becoming head of department in 1974. In 1978 I turned to commercial photography working for many companies and organisations including IBM, General Electric and the All England Lawn Tennis Club. In 1989 I was given the opportunity to take the photographs for two upcoming landscape publications, "Ancestral Castles of Scotland" and "Lochs and Glens of Scotland". Since then, in addition to commercial opportunities, I have taken photographs for many illustrated books, mostly landscapes. "A Family History of the Illustrious, Notorious and Eccentric Lloyds of Birmingham, Brigstock and Pipewell Hall" is a memoir by Jan Collins (my cousin and godfather) of our family history.
