Simon first became interested in photography at the age of sixteen he purchased his first camera an Olympus Trip 35mm along with a Boots flash light, in 1984 with his first months salary whilst serving in the Army as a junior soldier. His background is from the electrical/electronic industries. As a photographer, Simon always rises to a challenge. His inspirations come from a number of directions, his major influences on his personal work include Linneaus Tripe a photographer from Devonport, from which he is also a resident, and Tom Hunter a critically acclaimed contemporary photographer that practices from his home in Hackney in London. Commercially Simon works in a number of fields, these include working for some highly regarded and critically acclaimed glass artists, as well as Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, Plymouth Trade Union Council. He is also able photograph family portraits, weddings, proms, christenings etc..
