A photo exploration of over 500 dairy barns in a corner of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa with my quick overview of their likely dairy backgrounds. Some barns are almost gone, others standing and preserved, a surprising number still in use housing dairy cattle and may into the foreseeable future though the trend to larger and more technological barns is making these old wooden barns less and less viable for an industry that is consolidating. This was my personal attempt at postponing their disappearance while appreciating their importance and former numbers.

All roads and photos taken were from the seat of my motorcycles over the 2021 riding season.
