Of Armenian origin, was born in Lebanon in 1943 and immigrated to Canada in 1960. Studied fine arts and commercial art at Sir George Williams School of art. For eighteen years he found his livelihood as commercial artist, during which he painted for pleasure and self-gratification, producing many solo exhibitions.
