Gateway shares the intimate details of my spiritual journey through poetry, digital art and acrylic paintings. In 2020, right before the pandemic I built an ancestral altar to develop a relationship with those who have walked this earth before me and share my blood. In doing so, I opened my third eye chakra and began to see, hear and engage with spiritual beings beyond the physical as well as take on the energy of others. This journey shattered my ego, and brought me to the truth. The truth about the people around me and the truth about myself. I am sharing my story the only way I know how, through art. With the exception of the thank you letter, these poems were all written during my spiritual awakening. These words have now aged, but they are honest. I hope this helps someone out there tell a story of their own. Releasing this book is an act of liberation, setting me free to let go of pains of the past.
