About the Book
Portrait of the "Melkweg-Labyrinth"
The plan to create a photographic registration of the maze-like structures of the Melkweg building arose in the beginning of 2010. The idea—of Karoline Swiezynski/former 2nd year Student at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy—was to show what is going on in the different places next to the actual event you came for. She captured all the public rooms during various daytimes and took around 3.000 pictures. Doubtlessly this was a lot of work, but it was a lot of fun, too, she said. Her enthusiasm towards this place became physical; she took the chance to show a different way of representing this variegated place.
The look book is about the public space in the Melkweg building, it is available at the BLURB online shop.
