About the Book
Until July 2011 they represented an extremely small part of the global budget of the Gates Foundation, about $21 million on a 7 year period, that is less than 1% of its $3 billion+ annual budget.
On July 2011, the Gates Foundation awarded an additional $18 million grant to the Bloomberg Family Foundation, the biggest grant ever awarded to promote tobacco control in Africa.
I share my comments and suggestions about how those grants are managed, responding to Jeff Raikes (The Gates Foundation CEO) call for honest feedback. It is also available as an e-book via Amazon-Kindle.
I have been an international tobacco control advocate for many years and from 2011 to 2017 I was a union organizer for Temporary Workers of America. Since September 2017 I have been involved in the tobacco harm reduction movement.
