About the Book
This book contains the cumulative work of the students of AVT 611: Conceptualization, a graduate design seminar taught by Assistant Professor Don Starr in the Spring of 2012 at George Mason University. The course was a laboratory for the exploration of contemporary design theory and practice through writing and design making, with the focus on using wit in design. Students explored the boundaries between design, art and culture, and their emerging place in the world of design.
