I started taking photos when I was 12, on my dad's old school Canon film camera. I immediately knew I loved it, and I would be doing it for the rest of my life. My full name is Joseph Elliott Schlabs, although most of my close friends call me Joey. I was born in 1986, in Hereford, Texas. I was raised out in the country, about 5 miles south of town. My house was always surrounded by corn, sugar beats, or cotton. Growing up, I fell in love with the Texas plains. Today, I love taking drives across random country roads. If you look at some of my first few images in the places gallery, you'll see what I'm talking about. First, I was home schooled, then went to a small private school called Hogwarts (or Community Christian). And then in high school went to Hereford High. Currently, I am 21 years old and single. I have two brothers, one sister, one sister-in-law, and two incredible parents. These days, I live in Amarillo, Texas.
