These pictures were taken during journeys around Spain over the past ten years. They are, essentially, travel pictures. Though at the time of shooting they were not meant to record the big changes that have taken place in the country over the past decade, reviewing them now it’s difficult to avoid the signs of that transformation, from the construction boom and bust, to the new developments in cities like Valencia, to the traces of disaffected youth.

From whichever angle they are approached, they tell a story of a land of wild contrast and irrepressible warmth.
