A journey in the city, underground and overground. Using photography to explore the compression of time and space as people move in close proximity through the city and beyond. Isolated, at times wilfully so, they seek small islands of personal space in a dense, transitory environment (in which to escape?). Black and white images created without disturbing this 'sense of self' reveal a rich tableaux of characters.
