About the Book
The cover of my first journal was a beige painting of a dog holding a book in his mouth, and it came with a lock and a key! I was thirteen years old, and I grew up on those white pages: Organizing thoughts, discovering truths, unlocking secrets, defining and playing with reality and imagination. It was a blissful and fun feeling to express myself. Writing never bored me. I allowed myself to wonder outside of my own life, and my journals have occasionally become accidental drafts of stories and poems. I am currently working on a novel. I’m a self-taught writer who is passionate about storytelling and poetry, a photographer by trade and a trained actor, which are additional sources of inspiration. In April 2017, after ten years on the making, I finally completed and consequently self-published my first poetry collection The Shadow of David.
