About the Book
As child, while sitting in the back seat, I would tilt my head back as far as I could to watch the repetition of street lamps that pass quickly overhead. I have always been fascinated with city lights. This fascination has only grown over time. It has since become the focus of my work. By using available light, I create vibrant colorful cityscapes. With these photographs I attempt to portray the unexpected and the mystical scenes that seem mundane during the day. The synthesis of street light, headlights, and tail lights paired with a slowed shutter speed capture the essence of these locations that are often taken for granted by those who dwell in the city.
