Everyday things, objects we pass by without a thought, can, sometimes, take on new meaning, if given a closer look and time for reflection.
Those items we throw away can take on a special beauty, weathering, rusting, slowly wasting away, they can inspire us while also reminding us of our own mortality.
Hanford St. Gallery offers Fine Art, Crafts and Photography by emerging and established artists working in both contemporary and traditional areas. Our goal is to: Provide the community with opportunities to experience the visual arts with a fresh perspective. Build a learning environment that integrates the arts into everyday life. Introduce new ways of seeing that allow art to inform how we interact with the world. Create relationships with the schools that bring art into the lives of young people. Foster an understanding of art as a way of being; not just something to admire (or criticize) from a distance.
