Clarence McCabe was a farmer from the north shore of Hay Bay near the town of Napanee, Ontario who was swept up and lost to the events of his time. He fought bravely with the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles for seven months in the trenches of World War 1 and was part of Canada's successful and historic attack on Vimy Ridge. Like so many other young men of his time, his life was cut tragically short.

Hi Bryan. I ordered your book about Clarence McCabe. George Griffin, who you mention in the book, was an ancestor of mine. I have copies of the burial records for all the men killed/wounded in the accident that claimed the life of Clarence McCabe. If you are interested in the details, please let me know.

Very touching story. My grandfather survived this war, but it had affected him so much that he never would talk about his experiences in France after he came home.
