I received a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Marquette University and Post Doctorate training in Pain Management from UCLA. After practicing in the field of pain management for 11 years I was diagnosed with Lupus and subsequently suffered from a stroke. For nearly 12 years I was treated with chemotherapy and invasive drugs. In 2006, my husband Bob and I attended a week long Basptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Boot Camp in Costa Rica. It forever changed my life. I took one last dose of chemo after that transformational week and then told my doctors I would be stopping the chemo. To date, the doctors are amazed with my continued improvement, which I attribute to the practice of yoga, and proper diet.
