Petra Hart's work of art is created on the computer. Her works of art are one hundred percent digital and produces by transferring images directly from computer generated digital files to photographic materials. This makes it a highly contemporary production process and Hart achieves the highest quality in terms of brightness, clarity, sharpness and color saturation. The final top layer consists of liquid glass with Swarovski Crystals, diamonds, reptiles or insects. Completely handmade.
Petra graduated in 1988 from high school with exceptional grades for her drawing exam. After graduating she moved to Paris for a year. In this city her love for art blossomed. Back in Holland she finished her Graphic Design study at the Grafisch Lyceum of Amsterdam and Art Direction at The International school of Communication Arts. Since 1996 she worked as an art director for renowned international advertising companies (both in Amsterdam and London) like JWT, Leo Burnett and Ogilvy. In 2010 she exhibited at Art Amsterdam for the first time, after having a successful group exhibition, ‘Manga in Amsterdam’, at the Willem Kerseboom Gallery. Since September 2010 she had several international exhibitions at the Wanrooij Gallery Amsterdam in Brussels, Hamburg, London and New York City. In 2012 she had another successful group exhibition at the Willem Kerseboom Gallery ‘Memorable Encounters‘. Petra lives and works in Amsterdam.
