About the Book
Motifs of these photographs are unusual in their own way, not because they were extracted from the odd worlds we are unfamiliar with, those beyond our everyday perception. On the contrary, they are unusual precisely because they are constantly there, before our eyes, albeit on the margin of our everyday interest and our habitual perception. The author believes that it is precisely the world composed of a multitude of apparently marginal motifs that is important for man's survival, no longer for that primordial, instinctively motivated physical survival, but rather a type of survival more important for contemporary, modern man – spiritual survival.
