This is my catalog of work - 120 page art coffee table book.
The narrative is the most important aspect of my art. The juxtapositions and ironies of life intrigue me. I strive to explore the unexplainable and continue to struggle in exposing hidden emotions through art. I use texture, shapes, shadow, and light to convey a message and find meaning for myself. I find beauty flawed and perfection nonexistent. The human body is an endless source of inspiration for me. I see the human figure as the most ideal subject we have in art. My work is about the beautiful and the hideous. Incongruity and ambiguity are present in my life and my art work.
His influences include photographers such as Joel Peter Witkin, Jeff Bark, Cindy Sherman, Nan Goldin, Terry Richardson. His strengths as an artist comes from his choice of subjects and the original often unconventional way his depicts them. His subject range is vast – ranging from abstract, human portraiture to still life and landscape. Through the efforts of self-study and hard work, Sergio continues to hone his artistic skills. He has an extensive body of work developed through many years of dedication. His artwork is infused with autobiographical, psychological, and sexual content. Although Sergio’s subject matter is often times confrontational, they are always fresh and vivid. He loves art for what it reveals about our existence. He is always grateful for the opportunity to share his artwork with a wider audience. In addition to several art shows, his lurid unfettered work is available online through his main website.
