About the Book
Have you ever just looked at a world map, drawing your finger across countries, wondering if you could ride your bike all that way? Well, that's how the idea for 'ride for HOPE' was born, and the dream of cycling from our hometown of Rocky Mountain House, to Buenos Aires, Argentina. We knew nothing about cycling across a province, let alone across continents - but we didn't let that slow us down.
We bought the equipment we thought we'd need, and with little preparation and virtually no training, we set off on September 1st, 2008. Over one year and 19,048 km later, we arrived in Buenos Aires. This is our adventure.
Part of the motivation of this adventure was to help those in need, and though the trip has ended, we are still doing what we can. Part of all proceeds from the sale of this book go towards a HOPE International Development Agency project, giving hope to thousands.
