I am a retired professor of physics currently doing energy-related work for the U.S. Navy. I earned my B.S. in physics at Canisius College, my Ph.D. in experimental high energy physics at the University of Notre Dame and had a research fellowship at the California Institute of Technology before joining the physics faculty at Indiana University in 1973. I taught various physics courses and conducted physics research until mid-2008. My wife Linda and I have a place in the country where we live with our horses, dog, cats and reef fishes. Linda is a former respiratory therapist who now owns a real estate business in Bloomington, Indiana. I love to read, do photography, scuba-diving and woodworking and generally being outdoors with Linda. I am lucky to be father of four wonderful people; Alex Jr, Robert, Carolyn and Christopher.
