About the Book
FM Venue seeks to create a new paradigm of movable and modular businesses. This book serves as research and development of the pilot prototype of our mission. Our project is to pursue an architectural solution to assist in urban resiliency, by synchronizing with the City of San Francisco’s experimentation with flexible urbanism through the fabrication and conversion of a recycled shipping container into a flexible food venue. The aim is to connect all essential forms of local culture through the fusion of locally grown food, local people and local art. With food and art as essential elements to human culture and to the urban identity, we are going to be programmatically and geographically flexible to harness the ability to adapt to any urban context of the city in pursuit of the idea of flexible urbanism.
