About the Book
This book has developed out of my personal experience in four years of volunteer work with Hawaiian Monk Seals on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The dire situation (rapidly heading towards extinction) has moved me to make this book public. This animal is precious, but often misunderstood. I believe that the more we learn about them, the more we will value them as unique to our islands. They deserve to live. I know you will enjoy the photos, mostly of Hawaiian Monk Seal moms and their pups, including some beautiful Hawaiian scenery as well! Thank you for caring and for your support.

I grew up on the island of Oahu in Hawaii where I began photographing undersea animals and Hawaiian Monk Seals while doing volunteer work with them for four years. I now reside in San Diego, California where I am pursuing my passion, currently photographing the wildlife, including wild birds, bunnies and coyotes., whales and dolphins. My current focus is the shorebirds in San Diego, including Peregrine Falcons and Osprey. Some of my photos are being sold at the San Diego Botanic Garden gift store.
