    About the Book

    Edit

Glenn Cox was a professional baseball player. From 1949 to 1959, he bounced around the majors and minors as a pitcher in both the Brooklyn Dodgers and Kansas City Athletics organizations.

This was a different game of baseball. Players were hungry for success, and just wanted to play the game.

For proof of that, one needs to look no further than the sizeable scar on Glenn’s right ankle – A souvenir from an encounter with nine-time All-Star Minnie Minoso...

"I was with Kansas City. The right fielder for the Chicago White Sox, Minnie Minoso, used to bend over the plate and I told him, “You keep doing that and I am going to back you out of there."
