About the Book
One night, I went out photographing at the National Harbor in MD. The night was electric, music floated through the air that came off the water of the harbor. The photographs I took that night inspired me to write the Night Jazz poem found on these pages.
Not very much later, I went to Georgetown, Washington DC and photographed some more I found the same sense of music in the air. The lights and colors became the instruments to my own jazz creation.
This book combines the emotions of a drummer with the heart of a photographer, so as a drummer and photographer I can share a measure of the magic that happens.

I am a photographer and designer who is currently working in both Pittsburgh, Pa, Maryland and Washington, DC. My photography focuses on the patterns and rhythms I see in nature. My experience as a percussionist tunes me into nature's unique dance and I love to celebrate the awesome interplay I see in the natural world around me.
