I was born in Belfast. I got my first camera when I was 12 - a Polaroid Land Camera 1000. It was an instant camera, giving me a taste for the immediate kick digital photography allows you nowadays.
Soon after moving to London I bought an Olympus OM40. Stocked up with rolls of Ilford XP2 film I would walk around the city approaching those who caught my eye, shooting with them there and then on the street.
I fell in love with the buzz of photography. The arrival of my first digital Canon SLR opened the doors, allowing me to experiment, try new techniques and develop my own style as a photographer.
